β A Momz Corner reminder
Letβs say this out loud, together: itβs okay to not be okay.
Not βInstagram not okay.β
Not βIβll laugh it off and keep goingβ not okay.
Real, messy, exhausted, overwhelmed, holding-it-together-with-dry-shampoo not okay.
Motherhood has a way of piling things on. Youβre caring for kids, managing a home, showing up for work, relationships, school, emails, appointments, emotions that arenβt even yours β and somewhere in there, youβre supposed to take care of you too. Thatβs a lot. Anyone who says otherwise is lying or has help theyβre not mentioning.
Youβre not failing β youβre human
Bad days donβt mean youβre a bad mom.
Tears donβt mean youβre weak.
Feeling burned out doesnβt mean youβre ungrateful.
It means youβre carrying a full load without a pause button.
Some days youβll feel patient and present. Other days youβll feel touched-out, short-tempered, or completely numb. Both can exist. One does not cancel out the other.
You donβt need to earn rest
You donβt need to:
Finish the laundry first
Be productive to βdeserveβ a break
Hit rock bottom before asking for help
Rest is not a reward. Itβs a requirement.
And rest doesnβt always look like a spa day. Sometimes it looks like sitting in silence. Sometimes itβs going to bed early. Sometimes itβs crying in the car before walking into the house β and thatβs okay too.
Talking about it matters
When moms pretend everything is fine, other moms think theyβre the only ones struggling. Theyβre not.
If you can:
Say it out loud to someone you trust
Write it down
Whisper it to yourself
That honesty matters. It lightens the load, even just a little.
And if today feels heavier than most, please know this: you donβt have to carry it alone. Reaching out β to a friend, a professional, a support group β is strength, not weakness.
A gentle reminder from Momz Corner
You are doing more than you realize.
You are allowed to have hard days.
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to not be okay β and still be a good mom.
If today is one of those days, take a breath. Grab your coffee (or reheat itβ¦ again). Youβre seen here. Youβre safe here. And youβre not alone.
